Enrollment

When must I enroll by?
You can enroll at any time. However, this year we can only add 500 customers to the program. Other companies who offer Paygo have hit their initial limit quickly. So if you like the idea of Paygo, please take care of this now.

What is the easiest way to enroll?
Click on the Sign-Up Now button on the right. It only takes a minute to complete the form. You’ll get an email confirming that we received your form. We will then review your account to confirm there are no issues that would prevent you from enrolling.

Pricing

Will I pay any more with Paygo?
No, you pay your normal price on the day of your delivery, until you use up the fuel you received in that delivery. You just hold onto your money longer.

Billing

When will Paygo billing start?
First, we need to receive your signed agreement. Then, when you get your next scheduled delivery, we will start billing you as you use the fuel.

How exactly will billing work?
At the end of each month, we send you a statement that includes how much fuel we calculated you used the previous
30 days, the price this fuel was delivered at, along with any other charges from our company.

When is my payment due?
Your money is due within 30 days of the date of your monthly invoice, rather than the date of your delivery. Even if you don’t use that fuel for four or five months, you don’t need to pay for it until it’s used.

Fuel Monitoring

How do you estimate my fuel use?
We estimate your use by using Townsend Energy’s Degree Day tracking system.

How do you know that your fuel estimates are correct?
Each time we fill up your tank, we compare what you receive vs. your estimated use, and adjust your monthly invoice
accordingly. It’s just like when the Utility Company reads your meter. You only pay for exactly the fuel you received at the price on the delivery ticker, and not a cent more. You just hold onto your money longer.

Ultimately, you only pay for exactly the fuel you received at the price on your delivery ticket — not a cent more or less — you just pay for it more gradually.

Other Questions

Will I still get a delivery ticket?
Yes. Nothing changes from how you currently get your fuel. But you won’t have to pay for it until you’ve used it

Can I enroll in Paygo if I am not a Townsend Energy automatic delivery customer?
No, you must be on automatic delivery. It’s the only way Townsend Energy can properly track your fuel use and reconcile your bill. However, Paygo eliminates the reason most customers choose to call. Since you only pay when you actually use your fuel, you don’t need to worry about getting a big delivery at a bad time. Better yet, you don’t pay for fuel that’s just sitting in your tank. And you don’t run the risk of letting your tank run down too low.

What if I want to go back to paying the old way?
No problem! We can make the change at any time. All you need to do is pay us for any fuel you have received but have not paid for yet, including fuel not yet billed. Then, we would start billing you the old way when we make your next delivery.

What if I move or want to stop all service from you?
Again, no problem. All you need to do is pay us for any fuel you have received but have not paid for yet, including fuel not yet billed. Payment is due within 15 days of cancelling your account.

What if I don’t pay my bill on time?
Everything remains the same as it is now. If you go beyond our credit terms, you will be subject to finance charges. Eventually, you could be removed from Paygo and/or terminated as a customer.

Is there a program if I want to refer friends and neighbors?
Yes! We’ll credit your account with $50 every time you refer someone who signs up for automatic delivery for a minimum of 12 months. Fuel credit is payable upon new customer’s acceptance of first delivery. Subject to credit approval.

Can I participate if I rent my home?
Unfortunately, Paygo is only available to homeowners at this time.
